It is dark-colored and it is collected from oak forests in northern Greece in a so called “Natura” area which means it is protected from human activities and also part of a national park.
It is full of trace minerals and antioxidants and in a research conducted on 48 honey types by the beekeeping department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, it was declared as superior due to its antioxidants content which even exceeds the “manuka” honey.
