Dimitra Dartsi and her daughter Anna, form the dynamic combination of “Oi Goumenisses”, whose name translates to “the ones coming from Goumenissa”, a small traditional town in the Kilkis regional unit, Central Macedonia, Greece.
Dimitra, born and bred in Goumenissa, is the instigator, foundress, and creator of the company, which dates back to 2000. She is well versed in local products and the taste of traditional tasty foods and sweets and she knows how to toil for something that she loves: the fertile land and its products. Since her childhood, she used to observe her mother and grandmother, while they were selecting the best fruits of their land, in order to make homemade jams and spoon sweets.
In 2012 her daughter, Anna Kezou, returned from Brussels, where she was studying, and took an active role in the reorganization and operation of the company, giving new life to the vision of Dimitra. And a few years later, Maria Kosmatopoulou from Thessaloniki joined the team of “Goumenisses”, contributing her many years of experience in marketing and sales.
Together, they have already conquered the Greek market and their products have fairly gained their place in some of the most well-reputed delicatessens, hotels, and restaurants in Greece. Their products have been awarded several times and they have been selected by some of the most popular Greek chefs.
